The Hideout’s entrance is situated southeast of Gerudo Summit, nestled within this canyon.

A Warm (and Spiky) Welcome: Entering the Hideout

Upon entering the cave, you’ll be greeted by a sight that wouldn’t be out of place in a villain’s lair – a large central dias with menacing banners and flickering torches. Don’t be fooled by the (slightly underwhelming) initial impression – the real challenges lie ahead.

Here’s a heads-up for what to expect:

Be prepared for an ambush! Yiga Footsoldiers, agile and armed with blowdarts, will immediately swarm you. Utilize your combat skills and deflect their attacks effectively.

Those torches lining the dias aren’t just for show. You can use them (or a lit arrow) to strategically burn the banners, revealing hidden alcoves containing chests with rupees or other goodies.

Trial by Bananas: The Hidden Bazaar

After clearing the initial foes, proceed down the pathway behind the dias. Here, you’ll encounter a strange sight – a seemingly abandoned marketplace:

This is the “Hidden Bazaar.” While it appears deserted, it’s a clever trap. Stepping on any of the seemingly harmless banana peels will trigger an ambush by more Yiga Footsoldiers.

Carefully navigate the bazaar by using the strategically placed crates as stepping stones to avoid the treacherous peels.

Secret Switches and Sneaky Sheikah: Unlocking the Main Hall

Reaching the end of the Hidden Bazaar, you’ll encounter a seemingly locked door. Don’t fret, there’s a way through:

Look closely at the left wall near the door. You’ll find a hidden switch disguised as a section of the wall. Hit it with an arrow or your Sheikah Slate to reveal a secret passage.

The passage leads to a room patrolled by a Sheikah disguised as a merchant. Be wary – this foe is much tougher than the Yiga Footsoldiers you’ve encountered so far.

Facing the Understudy: The “Mock Boss” Battle

After defeating the disguised Sheikah,  you’ll enter a large chamber resembling a coliseum. Here, you’ll face a flamboyant foe – a Yiga Blademaster named Kohga’s Understudy:

This fight serves as a warm-up for the main event. The Understudy utilizes similar attacks to Master Kohga, the leader of the Yiga Clan, but with less ferocity.

The Understudy relies heavily on sword attacks and teleportation. Learn his attack patterns, dodge effectively, and unleash flurries of attacks during openings to gain the upper hand.

Defeating the Understudy grants you access to a hidden chest containing a rather underwhelming reward (usually rupees or arrows). Don’t get discouraged – the real challenge awaits!

Showdown with a Showman: The Master Kohga Battle

Following the Understudy encounter, proceed through the newly opened doorway.  Now, you’ll face the main attraction – Master Kohga, the flamboyant leader of the Yiga Clan:

Master Kohga is a more formidable opponent than his understudy. He utilizes a mix of sword attacks, teleportations, and electric attacks that can inflict significant damage.

The arena is filled with electrified bananas. Stepping on them will inflict damage and leave you temporarily stunned. Keep your eyes peeled and avoid these hazards.
